Alabama has been nicknamed "The Oven"...driving there was great. Air conditioning has been a tremendous blessing! We all gasped when we arrived and opened the van doors and felt the HEAT that hit us. It is nice though to be able to still be out so late in the evening and have the warmth. We are enjoying it while it lasts. This heat we won't experience again until we do our Mediteranean/Middle East tour!(one day!)

Anyway, we were so very well recieved by the fellowship of Bro.Shelley's and we were kindly invited to play during their Saturday evening and Sunday morning services. Our children have had such a great time with others their age that also love the Lord, which is so encouraging.
Bless each and everyone of you for your friendship and hospitality, please do keep in touch by emails.

FRIDAY, 25 MAY 2007

Here they are setting up and practicing.

We really would like some more concerts to do. So if you know of any Churches wanting to host a young English Celtic Folk group, please don't hestitate to tell your Pastor or contact us. We are free to play and minister at your fellowship. Next one we have in this area is at the Vineyard Church Clarksville. See you at your Church soon!

This is just a giggle to us, a personalised number plate. Of course over here it is nothing

special, but quite common. Remnant are on the move literally. Please join us in prayer for CD's to be welcomed in many, many more places.

We have just secured a concert in Michigan more details to follow soon.

We are now packing up to leave early tomorrow morning (Friday), it is becoming a finely tuned operation to get the stuff back in the cases and music equipment all in the van. The open roads of Tennessee have been a green splendour....it is very green around here, trees on the hills forever more. See you all in Alabama!

So far we have done 2,500 miles and just as we are finding our way in and out of Nashville's big city it is time to move on again. Our time in the cabin has been great....the washer/ dryer was an answer to prayer! The weather has been so very hot (to us anyway) and now as we head further South it is getting even hotter. Steve is really thinking Montana and Alaska would have been a better choice!!! Phew, none of us like the heat much. No wonder most people have pools, thanks to the Lord for the friendly use of other peoples! Bless you all guys for helping the melting English family!!!!!

A VERY BIG thank you to the Hill family that we met at the concert in Nashville. They invited us back to their home and we arrived on Tuesday and left on Thursady. Not intended that way but we were made so welcome everyone stayed including their friends the Nebour's. We met some lovely friends of theirs too, thanks for all your offers of accomodation when we return to Nashville later on. They gave me a special birthday to remember and really treated us like royalty. We will not forget you all in a hurry. We have tasted some great Southern food and I have been spoiled by so many cooking for me all week. Bless you Jodie and Marie for keeping me out of the kitchen. You will be in our prayers, and we thank you so much for your prayers for us all.

Hi Shepherd family, It is so good to hear all your travel news, I am so glad you came over here and are not sitting at home! (The great adventure as Steven Curtis Chapman sings.)
I am trying to keep track of where you are, I do hope you get to meet up with the Campbell's that would be so neat.
I was thinking how everyone you have met God had prepared before you even set out.
God is good and you are all in our prayers, watch out for the ceiling fans.
Love In Christ The Sullivans

Thanks to Russ and Mary for a fantastic day of fellowship, fun, food, swimming, baseball and gifts! We really had a great time. You'll be in our prayers...thanks Adi, Ana and Casey for sharing your home with us lot!! Bless you all in Jesus Name. You have all made Nashville extra special to us.

MONDAY, 21 MAY 2007

http://www.revival.org/ this is the Church in Alabama we will be attending if you care to see their web site. And this is Russ Lee's web site.http://www.russlee.com/ We will be with them on Monday. It feels a bit like being invited to spend the day with Cliff Richard or something!

Our God is an Awsome God and He is doing wonderful things for us all.

Today we had a really good time with a dear sweet lady we met at the homeschoolers conference where they played last Friday and Saturday. Steve also got to play some acoustic songs in the her Church service today. Considering she just met us at the conference we were amazed at her spontanious hospitality and willingness to open her home to us and to cook us all a truly great Southern traditional meal and dessert....Mmmm delicious! From one Mother's heart to another THANK YOU isn't enough Patti. See you in England!
This is Steve...of course! "Working hard" printing, cutting, piecing together each CD. It takes awhile to do each one. We are trying to keep up a full box to take to each event for them to be distributed out. We are so thankful for the printer we have been given while out here, that was an unexpected blessing. While some work others play! actually they do help too!!
Bless you all and please keep praying for us. We have been here awhile and have not yet had the time to meet up with Nancy and Colin Campbell...we can't come all this way and not see them! We hope the Lord makes the time and a way for us to meet. We leave here Friday for Alabama and as yet have no idea where or who we are staying with, good job the Lord knows the plans HE has for us. We will head South in Faith.....actually we do know the Church we are going to, so it's not totally alien.

SUNDAY, 20 MAY 2007

...inspite of this we had a great day meeting Russ Lee, now all we need to meet is, Steve Curtiss Chapman, (although seeing him play live was just brilliant) Michael W. Smith, Steve Green (for Liberty and Talitha, they love his childrens music DVD's) The News Boys and Hans Zimmer for Joe to do a masterpiece together with him!!!! Then they'll all be happy.

The concerts are getting bigger and bigger....and better and better, here's a photo of one we did today. I'm sorry, No! Just kidding....this was the Steve Curtiss Chapman Nashville city fest we attended along with 1,000's of others. We got back to our cabin very late, but the children had such a great time it was well worth it. We have a show tommorrow and we have to leave bright and early for a Church service first too. Life on the road is tough, how do musicians do it full time. We are printing Cd's, organising, route planning, setting up and taking down almost daily. No wonder they have crews of helpers. Praise God for our large helpful family. Good nightzzzzzz.
We are having such an amazing time here...it is impossible to do it justice on this blog. However we have had our challenges and the usual travel tummies from time to time. (Food is weird even if it looks the same.) Jed got out of his bunkbed and forgot about the ceiling fan

(Which we aren't used to) and he got hit on the head by it. It left a nasty cut and graze the entire side of his head, but like the true warrior for Christ he is, the show that day went on.

He was so blessed too, because just as we were packing up to make an early leave as his head kept bleeding from drum playing, Russ Lee appeared. Now, you may not know him, but to our guys he's a kind of hero! Look up Russ Lees website and buy his CD's you won't be dissappointed. He has had 13 U.S. no.1's. he takes the Gospel to the far off lands too.

So as you can imagine meeting a big star made the day. We are going to fellowship with them this week and have fun in their pool at his wife Mary's suggestion. They are wonderfully hospitable. I will not post pictures to protect their privacy, but you can see Jed's head instead, and the ceiling fan!!!!

FRIDAY, 18 MAY 2007

Pennsylvania, is going to be very hard to put into words. We were made so very welcome by the fellowship of Charity church
(www.charity-ministries.org) We have not experienced love like this before. THANK YOU all so much. We will never forget you all and maybe, Lord willing, we can meet up again this side of Heaven. The singing that came from this place was the closest we can imagine to glory and we will treasure our memories of our time with you all. Your hospitality, love and kindness is such a great testimony of the Lord in all your lives. Bless you all in Jesus.
Debbie.

THURSDAY, 17 MAY 2007

Good news, we have now got two more bookings in Indiana on June 10th. Thanks for your prayers!! The children are all doing well. We have been given some equipment for our touring use and all we had to buy for it was some speakers. We have also been given a printer so we can produce our CD's on the road. God is so good to us through the love and generosity of the wonderful people we have met so far.

Thanks Tom and Hilary for all you have done for us. We so appreciate you and your children.
CD's are being well recieved, the Christian circles are so much bigger here to spread them to.
Bless you all.

TUESDAY, 8 MAY 2007

Hello everyone, Sorry for all the confusion over this blog page....

This is our new van for the next 11weeks. It is absolutely brilliant. It is only 3 years old. Fully airconditioned, which we will need in the Southern States. We are having a heatwave here at the moment all good preparation for what is to come. We all fit in with a seat to spare, and we even fit all luggage in too. It has many features and extras that UK vans miss, and of course it is automatic.

We are both driving which is good news, and we soon got used to the differences in road use.

Keep your comments coming, it really is easy...just email me. Love to you all and soon we will have our phone sorted out too. Each day so much is happening, I'll be posting as often as I can.

Love and blessings to you all

Debbie.

Sorry for any misunderstanding please send all comments to the blog page todebbie@shepherdslife.com as the other email seems to be causing some confusion.
Thanks for your patience.
Love Debbie.

FRIDAY, 4 MAY 2007

Damian, We are having tech difficulties with emails and comps.
If you can get to read this please contact us. On another note...We are all doing great and thoroughly enjoying ourselves. First concert was a hit and cds went out by the dozen loads.
Tomorrow is Steve's birthday and we have a bunch of Christians to spend it with and a big party already arranged at a friends house. We feel like we've been here years.
At the shops yesterday I had two Christians ladies come up and hug me saying "fancy seeing you here" I have not met a familiar face in my home town while shopping before.
The van we have is so good and comfy, I'll get photo's posted up soon. We have our own number plate REMNANT1 and the van is red in colour! alleluia.
More concerts are being arranged as we speak so the schedule keeps changing, and we have had some problems getting the on-line calendar to work. We will try and post the schedule to the web site so look for it on there.
Every comment is most welcome so please keep posting!!
Bless you all.

WEDNESDAY, 2 MAY 2007

Monday (30th) brings great blessings! We have now secured a van, so a very big thank you to the Shaw family who lent us theirs since our arrival. Home Church at the Shaws on Sunday was a powerfully moving experience as we got to meet other like minded Christians and were asked to give our testimony. Nathanael also got to have a cuddle with a wonderful Christian man, (who also was there along with Mr. Seagrove, to collect us from the airport) who like Nathanael is the 11th child in is family. We have been soooo very loved and made welcome here. Mrs. Shaw, who is amazing... her home cooking skills are just incredible, as she carries a child on her back and tends to her other seven young children. We can't wait to visit them again this coming Saturday when the boys have been offered some and fishing on their 72 acre farm. The weather has been good to us too and the children are all really enjoying the house we are staying in, especially the wonderful Seagrove children who are just great hosts. We have had ice cream parties and pizza feasts and it is all so different to how we normally eat. We will soon be craving vitamin C and veggies!!! Jet lag has now passed...it took awhile. The flight was very good and even though we had gone 24hrs awake before getting to bed here, (as expected no-one hardly slept on the plane or 3 hour+ drive from the airport) we were all surprisingly well. We have been thankful of the rest we have been able to have here with the Seagroves. The trip to the enormous Walmart store was quite an adventure and eye-opener to American prices. Shopping is an enjoyable experience! This coming week is packed with activities and we are glad that our children got to do some Maths, Science, Geography, Spelling and lots of exercise today, with our hosts. Our first concert is this Thursday so your prayers are greatly appreciated. Thanks...keep your posts coming it means so much that we have folks back home supporting us.
