Joe had worked so hard recovering from a broken wrist practising and doing his exercises every day to get well enough to play. They all deserved more than what they got on the day.
They gave a truly great performance and inspite of just Mum and brothers and sisters to play for they gave it their all and did enjoy themselves. We will keep on doing what the Lord has called them to do and trust that one day they'll have an audience. You don't know what you are missing, REMNANT are a great band!
Our THANKS must go to Mitch who put on a great marquee and facilities. She worked so hard for months to get VALE FEST up and running. Maybe next year Mitch, don't give up.
In theory the East Midlans Food & Drink festival is an ideal venue for a musical event. There is hot food, drink, & plenty of toilets and with expected customers of 20,000 going through over the weekend you'd expect at least a few to come and listen to the bands. We pray for all the other bands also, as their audience was just us and less. One last little, but BIG blessing, was the Azorieblue Coffee stand. This amazingly generous man, (who I should have taken some photos of, and asked for his name) said as we were walking past," It's cold today, if you like I can give your children a hot chocolate to drink. " Little did he realise that we had 12 children!, but true to his word he not only gave them all free hot chocolates, he said come back again later and I'll give them all another one! It saved the day, we only took water to drink and the hot drink was such a blessing. He also gave us a free large tin of coffee, what a great Guy!!Thank You Lord, for placing such wonderful people around us wherever we go. There is an email contact in the East Midlands magazine for his stand sam@azorieblue.comemail him and say thanks, you may just be in need of a hot drink yourself one day !!!!!!
