Linton Open Air Concert

TUESDAY, 31 JULY 2007

This day started off as we were used to: scorching hot temperatures, only to be greeted in the afternoon by black clouds and a weather forecast of thunder storms. This was not good news! We were booked to do our first open air concert which the weather would be a measuring stick as to whether we played or if anyone would turn up or not!
True to forecast the place got flooded in minutes and we had all hands on deck sweeping rain off the stage and poking brooms on the tarpaulin roof to get the huge bulges of water off. As you can see from the photos the show went ahead as there was just enough break in the weather to perform that night. But as you can also see we were covered in cables running to and from equipment which we had all unplugged to keep dry, and then plugged in again later...it got somehow very messed up and we had sound problems the whole evening. All those involved did their very best for which were are so thankful. Next time we are definately going to take our own sound guy along....aren't we Damian?
Thank you to all those loyal supporters we gathered in Linton that stayed through till the end. Bless you all.
